Insurtech Integration Illuminates DU Career Fair 5.0

The integration of technology into the insurance sector, known as insurtech, was on full display at the Career Fair 5.0, organized by the Dhaka University Career Club (DUCC). With participation from 25 local and multinational companies, including Guardian Life Insurance Limited, the two-day event created a dynamic platform for career seekers and industry leaders alike.

Held on May 27–28 at the University of Dhaka campus, the fair brought together graduating students, faculty members, recruiters, top business leaders, and media professionals. The event offered students valuable opportunities to interact directly with employers, while also serving as a talent-hunting platform for recruiting organizations.

The fair was formally inaugurated by Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Dhaka. Participating companies included prominent names such as Walton, Apex, Daraz, Bengal Group, Singer, Crown Cement, and New Zealand Dairy, among others.

Guardian Life Insurance Limited’s involvement further underscored the growing relevance of insurtech in today’s job market. Speaking on behalf of the company, Farzana Kader, Senior Vice President and Head of Human Resources, said, “At Guardian, we believe the youth are the future. We are delighted to have participated in this initiative with the Dhaka University Career Club. Meeting so many talented young people was a truly rewarding experience. We look forward to working with such bright individuals.”

The event concluded with a closing ceremony that marked the end of Career Fair 5.0. Organizers and participants alike praised the fair for providing a meaningful platform that not only offered job opportunities but also fostered productive networking across various professional sectors.
