Squid Game Season 3 Sneak Peek Signals Final Showdown
Netflix has released the first teaser for the third and final season of the popular Korean thriller series Squid Game. The teaser reveals that the main character, Seong Gi-hun (Player 456), is returning to the deadly competition after a failed rebellion. A scene showing Gi-hun awakening in a room filled with players confined in coffins hints at the opening of the new season, Engadget reported.
According to the plot, individuals burdened by debt are brought to a secret location to compete in life-threatening games. Only one winner walks away with the prize money, while the rest face death.
The upcoming season will explore the aftermath of Gi-hun’s attempted insurrection and his ultimate confrontation with the game's organizers. The return of In-ho as the Front Man and the continued investigation by his brother, Jun-ho, will also feature prominently in the storyline.
The third season is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on June 27, 2025.
