Huawei Hosts Hiring Drive at CUET for Fresh Graduates
Huawei recently organized a campus recruitment program at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) for newly graduated students. Around 300 students from various departments participated in the event, undergoing a multiple-choice test and interview session. Selected candidates will be offered employment opportunities at Huawei.
According to a press release issued by Huawei Bangladesh on Tuesday, the recruitment team was represented by Senior HR Manager Md. Fara Newas, HR Manager Omar Heider Masfique Ahmad, and Assistant HR Manager Md. Khalid Hossain. From CUET, Professor Dr. Mohammad Shamsul Arefin, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Associate Professor Dr. Mehedi Hasan Chowdhury of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering were present.
In addition to the recruitment process, Md. Fara Newas conducted a session discussing the current landscape of the international and national telecom industry, as well as Huawei’s contributions to the sector.
Huawei’s HR Director Linxiao stated, “Through regular campus recruitment drives, we create opportunities for new graduates to contribute to the country’s technological development. Huawei considers fresh graduates and experienced professionals as one family, and this synergy is vital for us. Fresh graduates bring fresh ideas. Commenting on the initiative, Associate Professor Dr. Mehedi Hasan Chowdhury said, “Huawei’s campus recruitment has provided our students with a valuable platform to connect with a global leader in ICT. It not only enhances their understanding of industry demands but also offers an excellent career-building opportunity.”
One of the participating students shared their experience, saying, “If I get the chance to work at Huawei, a leading company in the ICT and telecom sectors, it would be a great start to my career. I have heard from seniors that performance is the driving force at Huawei. Participating in this program has been inspiring. I am ready to contribute to building a fully connected, intelligent Bangladesh.”
