‘Go Zayaan’ got foreign investment of BDT 22 crore
The name of startup ‘Go Zayaan’ has been added to the list of foreign investment. The company, which provides a variety of online-based services to tourists, has received US $ 2.6 million in foreign investment, which is equivalent to BDT 221 million.
Go Zayaan officially announced on Thursday that it would receive foreign investment. Wave Maker Partners, one of Southeast Asia's largest technology companies, has led the new investment in the Go Round Seed Round, they said. Investors include 1982 Ventures, Iterative and Century Oak Capital. BRAC Osiris Impact Ventures and OS Ventures have invested in Go Zayaan in the pre-seed round.
On 14 August 2017, Go Jayaan started its journey to provide online services to the tourists who are eager to travel. International and domestic flight bookings as well as bus tickets can be purchased through their website. Go Zayaan even offers online hotel booking. Started with only three employees, the company currently employs 70 people.
When asked, Ridwan Hafeez, founder of Go Zayaan, said, "We are currently serving 500,000 people a month. Regarding the cost of foreign investment, he said, “Currently, only 3.5% of flight tickets are sold online. And 1% of tourists book hotels online. As a result, there are many possibilities. We will spend foreign investment to expand the scope of our services.
