Daffodil Technical Institute (DTI) held "DTI Graduation Celebration 2026" at the 71 Auditorium of Daffodil Plaza in Dhaka on Saturday, September 5, 2026, marking the technical milestones and academic accomplishments of its graduating engineering cohort. Policy specialists and engineering education leaders urged the graduates to deploy applied engineering skills toward industrial and socio-economic modernization.

Director General (Additional Secretary) of the Directorate of Technical Education Farida Yasmin graced the event as the chief guest. Special guests included Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) Chairman Engineer Md. Ruhul Amin, BTEB Controller of Examinations Engineer Md. Abul Kalam Azad, and Daffodil Family Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman. The ceremony was presided over by DTI Acting Principal Moazzem Hossain Rubel, with Director (Industry Linkage and Training Coordination) Engineer Md. Alauddin and Executive Director of BTEB-affiliated institutions under Daffodil Family Rathindra Nath Das in attendance.

The ceremony conferred certifications upon 150 diploma engineering graduates. Among them, 20 top-performing graduates received Gold Medals across several technological disciplines, one recipient was honored with the Chairman’s Award, and two distinguished alumni received Successful Alumni Awards.

Addressing the graduates, Farida Yasmin stated that the completion of institutional instruction marks the onset of practical, applied responsibility. She remarked that failing to channel technical proficiencies into national welfare diminishes the collaborative investment of parents and instructors. Citing the rapid industrial transformation of China, she underlined that systemic investment in technical and mechanical competencies is essential to propel the country to high-tier technological competence.

BTEB Chairman Engineer Md. Ruhul Amin remarked that the emerging industrial landscape demands specialized skills over generic credentials. Highlighting substantial workforce deficits in global engineering and technical hubs—particularly in Japan—he noted that Bangladesh remains in an advantageous position to deploy its 65 percent working-age demographic dividend into high-skill vocations through standardized technical frameworks.

Daffodil Family CEO Dr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman noted that DTI prioritizes educational innovation as a strategic driver, having carried out a full digital transition of its academic operations. He reaffirmed the institution's commitment to sustaining a contemporary learning ecosystem equipped with modern instructional technologies to prepare Generation-Z graduates for competitive domestic and regional industry expectations.
