Jatiya Chhatrashakti Protests Energy Policy And Agriculture At Main Gate
SUST Banner Alleges 180-Day Governance Failures
- The display highlighted critical concerns surrounding national energy infrastructure, agriculture, financial mechanisms, and law enforcement capabilities.
- Unit Member Secretary Riaz Hossain Rimon alleged systemic shortfalls are being masked by superficial public welfare promises and cards.
A critical banner evaluating the 180-day operational track record of the BNP administration was mounted at the main entrance of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) by the campus unit of Jatiya Chhatrashakti. The display was spotted at the university's entrance on Friday, November 4.
The banner highlighted critiques encompassing the broader socio-economic landscape, focusing specifically on electricity and energy grid stability, agricultural supply logistics, institutional law enforcement systems, financial banking operations, and academic environments. The presentation claimed multiple administrative and policy failures across these core technical and governance sectors.
Commenting on the display, Riaz Hossain Rimon, Member Secretary of the SUST chapter of Jatiya Chhatrashakti, stated that the administration has allegedly fallen short of fulfilling public expectations in handling critical sectors since assuming responsibilities. He alleged that rather than resolving structural bottlenecks in energy and agriculture through sound planning, efforts are being made to obscure structural shortfalls using smart cards, administrative pledges, and narrative promotions.
He further noted that the initiative was undertaken on behalf of Jatiya Chhatrashakti's SUST unit to present recorded discrepancies, questionable directives, and systemic oversights before students and the wider public.
