Telecom Transition: Bilkis Jahan Rimi Joins as Posts and Telecommunications Secretary
Bilkis Jahan Rimi has joined as the Secretary of the Posts and Telecommunications Division.
On Sunday, 19 April, she formally submitted her joining letter at the Secretariat to Fakir Mahbub Anam, Minister of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and the Ministry of Science and Technology, at the Minister’s office of the Posts and Telecommunications Division.
At the time, the Minister welcomed the newly appointed Secretary with flowers.
Earlier, through a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on 15 April 2026, Bilkis Jahan Rimi was transferred from the Ministry of Textiles and Jute and appointed as the Secretary of the Posts and Telecommunications Division.
An officer of the 17th batch of the BCS Administration Cadre, Bilkis Jahan Rimi is an experienced and competent official with long-standing expertise in administrative affairs. Concerned quarters expect that under her leadership, the activities of the Posts and Telecommunications Division will become more dynamic and people-oriented.
