Smart Election Management BD: Swift, Seamless Access to Real-Time Results

To ensure that election results are delivered to the public quickly and accurately during national parliamentary or local government elections, the Election Commission (EC) of Bangladesh has recently launched an app named Smart Election Management BD. Through this application, voters will be able to view real-time results and access election-related information with ease.

Here is how you can check election results from home using the app:

1. App Download and Installation

The app is available on both Android and iOS platforms. Users can download it by searching “Smart Election Management BD” on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. After downloading, install the app on your smartphone and open it to get started.

2. Account or Login Process

In most cases, users do not need to log in to view election results. However, to access personal voter information or detailed EVM-related data, the app may require you to log in using your Voter ID or National Identity (NID) number. Once logged in, users can view voting records, voter status, and polling center–related information.

3. Steps to View Election Results

a. Selecting the Election and Polling Area:
On the home screen of the app, there will be an option titled “Election Results” or “Voting Results.” Users need to select the type of election (National Parliament, Upazila, Municipality, or Union Parishad). After that, they must choose the relevant district and upazila/ward.

b. Casting Data and Results:
The app provides live updates of vote counting based on individual polling centers. Once vote counting is completed at a center, the results will be uploaded directly to the app. Users can view total votes cast, candidate- or party-wise breakdowns, and percentage shares.

c. Graphs and Charts for Visualization:
The app presents results through graphs and charts, making it easier to understand the standing of candidates or political parties. With live updates, users can track the step-by-step progress of vote counting in real time.

Through this digital initiative, the Election Commission aims to enhance transparency, accessibility, and public confidence in the electoral process.
