Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus Oversees Live Poll Monitoring Across Bangladesh

After casting his vote, Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus visited the central control room at the Police Headquarters to observe live monitoring of polling centers across the country. The control room received live video feeds from CCTV cameras installed at various district and sub-district polling centers, police body-worn cameras, and drones, along with real-time reports, all of which were reviewed by the Chief Adviser.

He was accompanied by Home Affairs Adviser Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Special Assistant on Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, and Bangladesh Police Inspector General Baharul Alam.

Through virtual communication with relevant district administrations, police superintendents, and other security officials, they received updates on conditions in different areas, checking for any untoward incidents or challenges to law and order.

Additionally, using the monitoring systems in the control room, the Chief Adviser directly reviewed ground-level law and order situations, voter turnout, and the status of potentially vulnerable polling centers.

Earlier, at 10:21 am on Thursday, February 12, Professor Yunus cast his vote at the Gulshan Model High School and College polling center in Dhaka-17. After voting, he briefly interacted with election officials to receive updates on the voting process. The environment at the center was peaceful, and voter presence was noticeable.

Later, the Chief Adviser also monitored overall election conditions from a temporary observation room set up at the state guesthouse Jamuna. There, he received detailed briefings from senior election officials on voter turnout, regional situations, and any potential irregularities.
