Grameenphone to Halt Recharges for 13-Hour Upgrade
Grameenphone customers will be unable to access any recharge services for 13 hours tomorrow, Friday, due to system upgrades and quality enhancement efforts. The information was announced in a notice published Thursday evening, September 18, on Grameenphone’s official MyGP app.
According to the notice, from 1:00 am to 2:00 pm on Friday, September 19, no recharges can be made to Grameenphone numbers. During this period, customers will be unable to top up their balance through shops, bKash, Nagad, or online banking.
In addition, from 1:00 am to 6:00 pm, recharge, bill payment, and bill update services will remain unavailable for postpaid customers. To keep connections active, they are advised to settle any outstanding bills beforehand.
However, the company confirmed that only recharge services will be suspended, while all other services — including voice calls, SMS, and internet — will remain fully operational.
Grameenphone stated, “As part of our efforts to provide you with better services, we are carrying out system upgrades. For this reason, recharge services will be unavailable for a specific period. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.”
