In a move aimed at ensuring sustainable electricity access and clean energy availability across Bangladesh, telecommunications infrastructure provider Edotco Bangladesh has partnered with clean mobility and energy innovation company Tiger New Energy Limited. The collaboration is expected to replace conventional fuel use in telecom infrastructure with low-emission alternatives, offering equal energy access for all.

Under this agreement, the two companies will deploy a range of sustainable and eco-friendly energy systems including Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), battery swapping stations, and charging stations. The subscription-based BaaS will ensure uninterrupted power for telecom towers even in the absence of grid electricity, thereby maintaining consistent network connectivity.

Additionally, battery swap points will be installed at Edotco tower sites to support electric vehicles—particularly two- and three-wheelers—by reducing charging times and enabling a shared, clean energy infrastructure. Easily accessible charging points will also be provided for vehicles like rickshaws and e-bikes, helping to make clean energy more available and affordable for all.

Commenting on the partnership, Sunil Isaac, Country Managing Director of Edotco Bangladesh, stated, “This partnership is not just a technological advancement; it’s a bold step toward a greener and more inclusive digital future. By integrating clean energy with smart infrastructure, we are ensuring sustainable power connectivity and making a tangible impact on people’s lives.”

Nicole Mao, Co-founder and CEO of Tiger New Energy, added, “Our partnership with Edotco is fundamentally about empowering the underserved. These innovative solutions are opening new avenues for clean and affordable energy, reducing carbon emissions, and enabling everyday people to participate in an environmentally responsible future. This is a true example of collective progress in action.”
