Tecno Turns Heads with Flagship Store and Dancing Robot Dog

The largest flagship store of smartphone brand Tehno in South Asia was inaugurated at Center Point in Uttara, Dhaka. While the brand is primarily known in Bangladesh for its mobile phones, the store showcases a wide range of AI-driven smart technology products. However, it was the unexpected dance performance by a robot dog to singer Zephyer Rahman's song "Jhumka" that stole the spotlight at the grand opening.
The launch event, attended by YouTubers, TikTokers, content creators, and influencers, quickly went viral on social media thanks to the AI-powered robot dog grooving to the popular tune during a live music and fashion show. Positioned on a stage in front of the store, the robot’s energetic performance not only captivated the audience but momentarily overshadowed the store’s own branding.
Inside the flagship showroom, visitors were greeted with a wide array of gadgets: 51 smartphones across 9 models including 2 foldable phones, 2 models each of smartwatches and earbuds, tablets, 2 models of laptops, gaming PCs and consoles, as well as smart glasses. A standout item was the AI-powered IoT device named Pocket Go, preloaded with eight PS4 games.
Two electric motorcycles on display, developed in collaboration with the brand Revo, hinted at Techno’s future plans to integrate AI technology into personal mobility.
But none of the tech wonders generated as much buzz as the viral video of Zephyer Rahman’s “Jhumka” and the dancing robot. In the video, Zephyer is seen performing his signature song while the robot dog bounces and twirls in sync. At one point, Zephyer even joins in the dance, further delighting onlookers.
Influencer Rafsan Sabab, who appeared on stage after the performance, added humor to the event, quipping, “Zephyer has made many people dance, now even the robot’s dancing!” The remark sparked a wave of playful speculation and banter among netizens.
Some viewers playfully linked Rafsan’s comment to longstanding rumors about his relationship with Zephyer. One social media user wrote, “Rafsan seems to know a lot about Zephyer’s dance routines — something’s definitely going on between them!” Another commented, “Has Zephyer made Rafsan dance too?”
Comments ranged from sarcastic to supportive. One read, “Just jumping won’t do; the robot needs to sway a bit more!” Another joked, “Is ‘Jhumka’ the only song Zephyer knows?”
Notably, rumors about a romantic relationship between Rafsan and Zephyer have circulated for some time. Their frequent public appearances together have caught the attention of fans and media alike. Now, Tecno’s robot dog appears to have reignited that conversation in the most unexpected way.
