As a result, Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, imo and other apps cannot be accessed due to mobile internet being off. Users are also unable to access websites. But broadband internet is working.

In response to the questions of the journalists in this regard, the State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that there was no previous announcement. Depending on the environment and situation, we provide technical support for the cooperation of intelligence agencies and law enforcement agencies. Social media has now become the weapon of choice for rumors and misinformation. So mobile internet has been stopped temporarily. The environment will soon be under control. When law and order is under our control and we can be free from fear; Connection will be provided shortly.

Stating that Facebook has contacted today, the state minister said, "We are trying to take the kind of role that should be taken or needed to ensure cyber security. I am getting everyone's support considering it is our national and civil security. Because of this, there may be some temporary loss or suffering. But we have to consider both physical and digital equally. Contacted by Facebook today. Still, we can't be too confident or optimistic. Because they show weak reasoning. They are not acceptable in any way. Their privacy policy setting doesn't seem logical to us. They respond country and incident wise. It can't be. As a multinational company, the laws of the country must be obeyed. We are not willing to accept their instructions.

According to sources, mobile internet and 4G were almost completely stopped across the country from Wednesday. Earlier on Tuesday (July 16) in the evening, mobile internet was partially stopped at various spots. 100 percent of Grameenphone and 50 percent of Robi and Banglalink's internet is down. Suddenly the internet is being shut down in essential areas. In this case the operators are not informed.

Earlier, mobile operators and related parties said that rumors are being spread along with various campaigns on social media using the internet. Due to this, the internet is being blocked in various ways. Photos or videos cannot be uploaded or live on Facebook as 4G is closed.
