Demand to establish a new computer market in Agargaon

The BCS Computer City has been proven as a reliable marketplace for buying technology products to people across the country. Even after 23 years of establishment, the vendors of technology products in this market are not able to benefit from the capital they invested. As the shops are not being transferred to individual ownership, traders are not getting loan facility against the shop. Even if the shop rent increases, the sole proprietorship benefits do not increase. So a new computer market in this region is the call of the hour. BCS President Engineer Subrata Sarkar raised the demand while speaking as the Chief Guest at the concluding ceremony of 10 day long ‘City IT Mega Fair-2022’ held at the BCS Computer City in IDB Bhaban, Agargaon. He also said that the shops which were bought for 5 to 6 thousand taka in other computer markets have become worth more than crores of taka after twenty years. In contrast to this shop, the computer sellers are quite eligible to enjoy loan facilities from financial institutions. But BCS Computer City's technology product dealers are being deprived of this benefit. Subrata Sarkar said, “BCS Computer City is an integral part of Bangladesh Computer Association. BCS Computer City's first computer fair was organized by Bangladesh Computer Samity. I express my gratitude to the skilled leaders at all levels involved in making this event a success. Besides, BCS and other information technology organizations are ready to provide full support to implement the plan of building a new market in this region. So I call upon the leaders of BCS Computer City to take initiative in this matter soon.
