Meeting massive anticipation, the much-discussed horror sequel Smile 2 has premiered on streaming platforms as of Tuesday, December 3. Initially available for U.S. audiences on Paramount+, the film will gradually be released online in other regions, including the UK, according to MovieWeb.

For now, American viewers can purchase or rent Smile 2 through Prime Video, iTunes, and other digital platforms, while UK audiences can pre-order the movie on Prime Video and iTunes for immediate access post-release, as per When to Stream.

The sequel has already garnered an impressive 86% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, surpassing the first film’s 79%. Despite this, Smile 2 has struggled to replicate its predecessor’s box office triumph, earning $131.9 million globally compared to the original’s $217.4 million. However, the creative team remains pleased with the audience reception, which has been significantly more favorable than the first installment.

Starring Naomi Scott, who plays Sky Riley, a pop star with a chilling storyline, Smile 2 marks the actor’s return to cinema after gaining recognition for her role in Aladdin. Directed by Parker Finn, the film features a star-studded cast, including Rosemary DeWitt, Lukas Gage, and Kyle Gallner, who reprises his role as Joel from the original film.

Released on October 18, the movie has proven to be a strong follow-up for fans of psychological horror, solidifying its place in the genre's landscape.
