Logo of ‘SAFE’ Unveiled

Smart Agriculture for Farmers and Entrepreneurs (SAFE), the country's first smart agriculture entrepreneurship platform for women entrepreneurs, has debuted with new techniques of smart farming and collective farming using new agricultural technologies and scientific methods. And by unveiling the logo of this initiative, Arifa Jasmine Kanika, wife of the State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed, started her smart entrepreneurial life.

According to the sources, she did not reveal the whole matter till then. When the state minister was busy with another function in Gulshan, she sent a video of the inauguration to surprise her spouse. The co-founder and founder of this venture is Nasima Akhter Nisha.

Agriculture Minister Abdur Razzak unveiled the logo of this platform for capacity building of people interested in agriculture sector. After unveiling the logo of this initiative at the Minister's office in Minto Road on Wednesday night, his wife sent the picture to the Minister of State for ICT. Agriculture Minister Abdur Razzak praised these entrepreneurs knowing about their innovative initiatives. He said, it is a very good initiative to take Bangladesh's agriculture sector forward by using the latest technology. So the Ministry of Agriculture is on the side of SAFE, will work with it.

Arifa Jasmin Kanika, the founder of the initiative, said that they will shed light on how to make the safe agriculture sector more sustainable, how to advance and how to take the people of Bangladesh to the industrial level of agriculture.

Co-founder Nasima Akhter Nisha said, WE will work from SAFE to bring the youth and women of Bangladesh into the agricultural sector more automatically and will take them forward from side to side with various support.

It was informed at the event that SAFE will work extensively on “Agriculture/Farming Ideas”. Bangladesh is now developing and expanding its capabilities in the IT/ITES sector, but Bangladesh is primarily an agricultural country. So in addition to the advancement in technology, smart farming and proper utilization of our arable land can meet the food needs of our huge population and also boost the economy of Bangladesh. SAFE (Smart Agriculture for Farmers and Entrepreneurs) is for those who want to work in the agricultural sector and become agricultural entrepreneurs: Poultry Farming and Organic Farming) will bring and share new ideas. SAFE (Smart Agriculture for Farmers and Entrepreneurs) will bring new techniques of smart farming and integrated farming using new agricultural technologies and scientific methods for agricultural entrepreneurs. As a result, we can use less resources to produce more and entrepreneurs can benefit financially. Entrepreneurs will also conduct training and workshops for this.
