Prince Mamun, also known as Abdullah Al Mamun, has been arrested once again. On Thursday, August 14, Vatara Police detained him.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Vatara Police Station Md. Rakibul Hasan said, “Based on a court warrant, Prince Mamun, also known as Abdullah Al Mamun, was arrested early Thursday morning. He has been produced before the court.”

Earlier, in June last year, he was arrested in a rape case filed at the Cantonment Police Station in the capital by Laila Akhter Farhad. Later, the tribunal dismissed Laila Akhter’s case against Prince Mamun.

Laila had also accused Mamun under the Cyber Security Act for allegedly spreading false, misleading, and defamatory information online. Prince Mamun rose to prominence mainly through social media platforms TikTok and Likee, where he posted self-made music videos that gained him public recognition.
