Google Grants Gemini: Free AI Access for College Students
In an effort to engage youth in the use of artificial intelligence, Google has announced an enticing offer for college students. Any student aged 18 or above with a valid ".edu" email address can register by June 30, 2025, to enjoy one year of free access to Google’s premium AI service, Google One AI Premium.
This exclusive service includes access to Gemini Advanced, Gemini Live, and AI-powered tools integrated with Google Workspace. Normally priced at $20 per month, this premium package will be offered completely free to eligible students.
The offer also features experimental tools such as NotebookLM for document analysis and Wisk for image and video editing. Additionally, students will receive 2 terabytes of Google Drive storage—ideal for managing academic materials and digital coursework.
Students will need to reconfirm their eligibility in 2026 to continue using the service. Analysts believe this initiative is part of Google’s broader strategy to familiarize the next generation with advanced AI tools by giving them early, hands-on exposure.
