Exports of engineering equipment and electrical goods declined in August
Exports of engineering equipment and electrical products fell $ 21 million in August this year.
According to the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), the sector exported more than $ 41 million in August last year. However, in August this year, $ 20 million was exported from these two sectors.
In August, the government's target for the export of engineering equipment and electrical products was more than $ 34.42 million.
As per the targets, exports of engineering equipment fell by $ 8.45 million and exports of electrical goods fell by $ 5.77 million.
According to the Export Promotion Bureau, exports of readymade garments, especially knitwear, increased to $ 3.38 billion in August this year. These export earnings are 14 percent higher than the same period last year.
