The Bangladesh Election Commission has introduced four simple methods for voters to access their voter numbers and polling center information ahead of the upcoming referendum and national parliamentary elections. Voters can obtain this information via phone calls, SMS, mobile app, or the Commission’s website.

According to a press release issued on February 7, Saturday, by the Department of Films and Publications, voters can now conveniently check their voter number and polling center details using the following methods:

Smart Election Management BD App
Voters can download and install the Smart Election Management BD app from the Play Store or App Store to access polling information. After installation, users need to select “Thirteenth National Parliamentary Election” from the dashboard and click on the “Find Polling Center” option. By entering their NID number and date of birth, voters can view their voter number, serial number, polling center name, and address.

Hotline Number 105
Any voter in Bangladesh can call the hotline number 105 to obtain voter number and polling center details. After calling, pressing 9 will connect the caller to an operator. Voters must provide their NID number and date of birth for verification. The service is available daily from 6:00 am to 12:00 midnight.

SMS Service
Voters can also get their information via SMS. By typing PC NID and sending it to 105, they will receive a reply with their voter number and polling center details.

Election Commission Website
The Election Commission’s website (ecs.gov.bd) provides another avenue for accessing polling information. Voters can use a laptop, desktop, or mobile browser to enter the site and click on the “Polling Center” menu. Two search options are available: selecting the electoral area and sub-district/thana to view a list of centers, or entering the NID number and date of birth to retrieve voter number and polling center details. The website also offers Google Maps integration, showing the location of polling centers, distances, and directions.

These initiatives aim to ensure that voters have easy access to accurate election information, facilitating smooth and informed participation in the voting process.
