‘Shomporker Golpo’ Strikes a Chord, Crosses 10 Million Views in Three Days
Following the remarkable success of Tomader Golpo, director Muhammad Mostafa Kamal Raj’s new installment in the “Golpo” series, Shomporker Golpo, has achieved record-breaking viewership within days of its release. The YouTube film reached one million views in just 5 hours and 35 minutes, crossed two million in 9 hours and 37 minutes, and surpassed three million views within 13 hours and 31 minutes. After 24 hours, the view count stood at six million, rising to eight million within two days. Remarkably, the film crossed the coveted 10-million-view milestone within just three days. More than 21,000 comments have been posted on YouTube so far.
The nearly two-hour-long telefilm was released on January 10 on the Cinemawala YouTube channel. After the overwhelming success of Shomporker Golpo on social media, director Muhammad Mostafa Kamal Raj shared these viewership milestones, recalling the journey that began with Tomader Golpo.
Audiences have responded with strong emotional reactions across Facebook and other social media platforms. In a Bangla drama group, Labannya Akter Jenny wrote, “The last 20 minutes were so emotionally intense that tears came to my eyes. Some heartbreaking scenes in Shomporker Golpo made my heart stop for a moment.”
