John Justice - the head of products of Stadia, left Google
This is not to say that Google Stadia is going bad this year. Google is working to achieve its goal of adding 400 games by adding 100 new games to the platform. It also includes high-quality games like FIFA 21, Outriders and Resident Evil Village.
However, the question remains as to how much Google's cloud gaming service has achieved beyond its promise. The departure of the top official from the latest stadia management department could also cast doubt on the future of the service.
According to Engadget, John Justice, Vice president of Stadia and head of product division, has resigned from Google. He was primarily in charge of Stadia's customer experience. Earlier, he also spoke about his team's ambition to unveil new features.
In 2019, Google's streaming service was launched without the expected features like various social features like state share, crowd play. Stadia recently launched the much-anticipated search bar for the web. The announcement made last February to close in-house studios to focus on third-party gaming disappointed many. Shortly after that announcement, Google was forced to fix a complex bug in 'the Journey to the Savage Planet'.
Google has a history of shutting down various services. The departure of Justice can therefore raise many questions. Although there are still executives like Stadia Games director Jack Beaucer, vice president and general manager Phil Harrison. So now it is not possible to say anything strongly, analysts think.
