"Panna Kaiser, a writer of life-long struggle and researcher sharpened the spirit of the liberation war which was lost after 1975; her death is an irreparable loss for Bengalis," said the Information and Broadcasting Minister and joint general secretary of Awami League Dr. Hasan Mahmud.

He opined so to reporters after paying tribute to the body of recently deceased liberation war researcher Shaheed Jaya Panna Kaiser at the central Shaheed Minar premises in the capital on Sunday afternoon. The minister said that after 1975, the spirit of the liberation war was lost, suppressed; even in that unfavorable time, she sharpened the spirit of the liberation war.

The Broadcasting Minister said, 'Panna Kaiser has struggled all her life. After two years of marriage, she lost her husband, and then she did not marry again. Raised children, suffered and remained in all democratic movements with the spirit of liberation war. I did not expect that she would leave us so soon. We offer our deepest condolences to her family, may his departed soul rest in peace.'
