National Dashboard Workshop: A Step Towards Data-Driven Governance
The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division has taken the initiative to implement a National Dashboard. As part of this effort, a two-day workshop has commenced, bringing together officials from the ICT Division and its associated offices, agencies, and projects. Participants are working collaboratively to develop a data framework for the National Dashboard.
The workshop began on Sunday, December 29, at the Krishibid Institution in Dhaka. The event was inaugurated by the Secretary of the ICT Division, Shish Haider Chowdhury. Among the attendees were Md. Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan, Project Director (Additional Secretary) of the Access to Innovation (a2i) program; Dr. Muhammad Mehedi Hasan, Additional Secretary of the ICT Division and Executive Director of the Bangladesh Computer Council; and Abdullah Al Fahim, Head of Project Management at a2i.
Anowarul Arif Khan, Head of Data Leadership and Research at a2i, delivered a conceptual presentation on the National Dashboard Framework during the workshop. This framework is designed to visualize various activities and develop a comprehensive dashboard for the ICT Division.
The dashboard will enable policymakers to make data-driven decisions for implementing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), national and international development plans, and managing daily administrative tasks effectively.
