National Telco Warfare 2024 Showcases Emerging Tech and Talent
The East West University Telecommunication Club organized the National Telco Warfare 2024, a two-day event held at the university's Aftabnagar campus. The festival brought together 300 students from 12 private universities and colleges in Dhaka, who participated in various competitions.
The event featured seminars on groundbreaking technologies like blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI), as well as tech-centric recreational activities. In the e-sports category, sponsored by Gigabyte Aorus, competitions in EA FC24 and Valorant saw enthusiastic participation, making the matches highly engaging.
On Friday afternoon, December 27, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of East West University, Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddek, awarded prizes to the winners. In his address as the chief guest, he remarked, "This competition is a showcase of tech-driven skills. The participants have demonstrated their talent and abilities to emerge victorious. It is bright and capable generations like you who will shape the future of Bangladesh."
Faculty members, moderators, and sponsors also spoke at the event, emphasizing the significance of modern technology and urging students to enhance their skills in these areas.
Prominent attendees included Md. Tanzim Chowdhury, Assistant General Manager of Smart Technologies (BD) Limited; Mustafa Munawar Naim, Community Manager at Gigabyte Technology Company Limited; and Nazmul Islam Abir, E-sports Event Coordinator.
