bKash Launches NFC Tap-to-Pay Feature
bKash users can now make payments by simply tapping on NFC-enabled QR codes. The new feature allows payments of up to BDT 1,000 in a single tap without entering a PIN.
To use NFC payments via bKash, customers need to tap their mobile phones on an NFC-designated QR code. Upon logging in, the app will directly open the payment screen. After entering the payment amount and confirming, the transaction is completed instantly.
On Thursday, 4 December, the fintech company said the service is part of its ongoing effort to leverage technology for easier, safer, and more convenient daily transactions. The new NFC feature enables cashless, contactless, and secure payments for users. bKash plans to expand NFC payment availability across merchant points nationwide in the coming months.
