Airtel Announces Arena with PUBG Alliance

Publicly listed mobile operator Robi Axiata has announced the launch of a national e-sports tournament under its acquired brand, Airtel, titled “Airtel Gaming Arena.” Alongside, the brand also revealed a strategic partnership with the country’s most popular mobile game, PUBG Mobile.

The announcement was made at a press conference held on Monday, September 22, at Robi’s corporate office in Tejgaon, Dhaka.

As part of the event, Airtel and PUBG Mobile signed a strategic memorandum of understanding, enabling Airtel users to enjoy exclusive e-sports events and unique experiences. The initiative will also establish “Airtel Gaming Arena” as a formal competitive platform for young talents to showcase their skills and compete at the national level.

Robi’s Chief Commercial Officer, Shihab Ahmad, said, “E-sports are quite popular among today’s youth. We are proud to take this initiative for them. Through ‘Airtel Gaming Arena’ and our partnership with PUBG Mobile, we are not just organizing a tournament, but building a powerful platform for Bangladesh’s next generation of e-sports champions.”

The press conference also highlighted the success of Airtel’s previous gaming initiatives, reflecting the brand’s consistent commitment to gamers and the digital lifestyle. With this announcement, the operator aims to further strengthen its position as a leading network for gamers and deepen its engagement with the younger generation.

The event was attended by Saurav Prakash Khare, Head of Airtel Marketing; Tahasina Rafa, Associate Director, Brand and Communication of Airtel; Jaima Tahsin, General Manager of Brand Strategy and ATL; and Sheikh Fattah Ahmed, General Manager of E-sports and Gaming.
