Khondoker Tasfin Alam Joins Pran-RFL Group as Executive Director

Renowned C-Suite executive and award-winning leader Khondoker Tasfin Alam has transitioned from his role as Chief Operating Officer at Daraz Global to join Pran-RFL Group as Executive Director. In his new role, Tasfin will focus on optimizing and enhancing the operations of Pran-RFL’s extensive distribution network using cutting-edge technology. While his initial focus will be on distribution, he has also expressed plans to eventually turn his attention to Pran-RFL’s e-commerce platform.

Speaking to DigiBanglaTech about his new responsibilities, Tasfin stated, “In Bangladesh, most FMCG distribution companies still operate manually. Productivity can be significantly improved through automation. My work will involve combining efforts for both Pran and RFL companies.”

Tasfin officially assumed his new role on January 1, 2025. Following his appointment, Pran-RFL announced that his expertise in digital transformation will play a pivotal role in making the company smarter and future-ready.

Khondoker Tasfin Alam joined Daraz Bangladesh in 2018, becoming its first Bangladeshi Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Daraz, he worked with leading telecom operators in Bangladesh and gained extensive experience in the European and Middle Eastern telecom markets.

Tasfin holds business degrees from London Business School and the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at the University of Dhaka. He also completed a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Islamic University of Engineering and Technology, a notable OIC institution.

With Tasfin’s proven leadership and expertise in digital transformation, Pran-RFL Group aims to achieve greater operational efficiency and enhanced technological integration in the coming years.
