How to secure a WiFi network
Many of us seem to be using a weak password in broadband internet service WiFi technology. In other words, in most cases, we rarely think about the security of this network. But hackers can hack the WiFi network by taking advantage of this weakness. Hackers will then take complete control of your internet connection. Or you may be in the village, but they may be using your network to commit evil deeds!
Before that happens, let’s strengthen our WiFi password. What to do?
# Change the password that cable operators has set on the new router. Also make it a little harder when setting passwords. Create a WiFi password with a combination of letters, numbers and special characters. Also change the admin password of the router login.
# Change the default network name to a new one when setting up WiFi. As a result, no one can understand which model of router you are using.
# Turn off the remote access option on the router. Some routers can connect to the Internet via a hard drive. And many hackers use this feature to attack the router. Turn off this option from the settings menu.
# Regularly update the router's operating system. As a result of the update, new features are added in one day, on the other hand, the companies solve many security negligence. As a result, check the operating system and firmware updates of the router regularly. When you see a new update, install it.
# Turn off WiFi when you are out of the house or traveling for a long time. Try to turn off the router even when sleeping at night or before going for a walk in the village or when no one is at home. Because, on this stormy day, the router can be damaged by lightning. Or there is a risk of the whole house being electrified from the connected device!
Bon voyage!
