The undergraduate admission test schedule for the 2026-27 academic session at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) remains to be finalized. A final decision is expected at the Academic Council meeting scheduled for 7 September, Monday.
On 6 September, Sunday, BUET Registrar Professor Dr. Nayeb Md. Golam Zakaria confirmed the development over phone, stating that while the dates are not yet fixed, a final decision will be reached in the meeting on 7 September, Monday. Earlier on 5 September, Saturday, Chairman of the Admission Committee Professor Dr. Md. Kamrul Hasan mentioned that exam dates would be decided following discussions in the Academic Council.
Meanwhile, general universities alongside engineering institutions have announced their admission timelines. Among engineering universities, Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) decided to conduct its exam on 8 January 2027 across Khulna, Dhaka, and Rajshahi centers. Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET) set a tentative date for 14 January 2027. Despite traditionally hosting exams early, BUET has not yet announced its schedule. Relevant sources stated that once finalized during 7 September, Monday's meeting, the official announcement will be made public.
