Bangladeshi B2B marketplace PriyoShop highlighted the country's retail innovation and smart distribution model at the Web Summit 2026, one of the world's largest technology conferences, held in Doha, Qatar. The summit, attended by over 30,000 innovators, investors, and entrepreneurs from more than 130 countries, saw PriyoShop demonstrate how technology can transform the lives of small and medium-sized businesses in Bangladesh. The platform garnered significant attention at the event, which focused on global topics such as artificial intelligence, fintech, and sustainability.

On Wednesday, 25th February, the company announced that PriyoShop's CEO, Ashikul Alam Khan, addressed the current situation of Bangladeshi grocers and sustainable solutions to supply chain problems on the summit's main stage. He stated that approximately 200,000 grocers across the country are now able to directly source products from leading FMCG brands through PriyoShop's distribution network. In addition to bringing transparency to the supply chain, the company is playing an effective role in removing logistical, financial, and market entry barriers through AI-based fintech services.

At the conference, Ashikul Alam Khan said that PriyoShop's primary goal is to ensure that disadvantaged grocers can operate their businesses with world-class products, skills, and opportunities. Being able to present this message of transforming the lives of millions of shopkeepers through technology on the world stage is a matter of pride for Bangladesh. Currently, PriyoShop is building a long-term modern market system across the country by reducing business costs for shopkeepers, ensuring easy access to loans, and providing uninterrupted product supply.
