Nagad Records All-Time High Monthly Transactions in January

The digital financial service Nagad of the Bangladesh Post Office has recorded the highest monthly transaction volume in its history, amounting to Tk 40,301 crore in the recently concluded month of January.

The information was disclosed in a press release sent to the media on Sunday, February 1.

Marking the new milestone in transactions, Nagad Administrator Md. Motasim Billah congratulated all those involved. He said Nagad has consistently worked to earn the trust of its customers and has been operating through customer-centric initiatives. As a result, the volume of transactions on the platform has been increasing steadily.

Md. Motasim Billah further said that as a digital transaction service of the Bangladesh Post Office, Nagad is moving forward by ensuring greater security of customers’ funds through more advanced services. This has led to the addition of new customers to the platform, while existing users are also conducting higher volumes of transactions than before. Besides, the expansion of services and various operational activities has continuously enhanced Nagad’s transaction capacity.

It may be recalled that Nagad set its previous highest monthly transaction record in October 2025, when transactions exceeded Tk 34,705 crore. Earlier, in March 2025, the platform crossed Tk 34,000 crore in transactions. In June 2024, Nagad had once recorded transactions worth Tk 32,000 crore.

Overall, during 2025, a total of Tk 3,80,000 crore was transacted through Nagad. In comparison, the total transaction volume in 2024 stood at approximately Tk 3,30,000 crore.
