Online Services Unavailable for Three Days
Hajj Portal Service Suspended for Maintenance
- Official Hajj portal offline for nearly three days for maintenance
- Digital services set to resume on October 25 at 9 AM
- Citizens advised to call hotline 16136 for emergencies
Due to scheduled system maintenance and database updates, the official Hajj portal (hajj.gov.bd) will remain temporarily suspended for nearly three days. The portal was taken offline starting Thursday night, October 22, at 10 PM. This is confirmed on 23 October; based on a notice issued by the Hajj portal authority, normal operations are expected to resume on October 25 at 9 AM. Relevant authorities stated that this routine technical upgrade aims to enhance the security, performance, and scalability of the digital Hajj management system.
The official notification stated that service disruptions are due to ongoing server optimization, and the authority expressed regrets for the temporary inconvenience caused to users. For urgent information or support during this downtime, users are requested to contact the dedicated helpline at 16136. Experts note that regular system maintenance is essential to maintain robust cloud architecture for high-traffic national portals.
The Hajj portal serves as a critical digital platform for managing pilgrim pre-registration, tracking e-Hajj credentials, and delivering agency-related information. During this maintenance period, all portal-dependent online services will remain inaccessible. All digital services will fully restore once the server optimization completes on October 25.
