ISPR Confirms Arrest of Osman Hadi Murder Case Main Accused in India
Viral Photo of Faisal Karim Masud and Fatima Tasnim Juma Proven Fake
Faisal Karim Masud, also known as Rahul, the main accused and alleged shooter in the murder case of Sharif Osman Bin Hadi, convener of Inquilab Mancha, has been arrested in India, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of Bangladesh confirmed to Rumor Scanner. Meanwhile, a photo circulating on social media claims to show Faisal alongside Inquilab Mancha leader Fatima Tasnim Juma.
Investigations by the Rumor Scanner team revealed that the photo of Faisal with Juma is not genuine. In fact, the image was generated and circulated using artificial intelligence (AI).
Upon reviewing the posts promoting this claim, no credible sources were found to substantiate it. Keyword searches related to the claim also yielded no reliable evidence supporting the assertion.
Further tracing showed that the photo card originally appeared on a Facebook page named ‘GojobVision’ last night. Observations indicate that ‘GojobVision’ is primarily a satire or parody page. This confirms that the posts in question were created as satirical content.
Rumor Scanner verified the image using Google’s Gemini AI-generated content detection tool, SynthID. Gemini confirmed that the photo was created or manipulated using Google’s AI technology.
Google’s SynthID embeds invisible digital watermarks into AI-generated images, videos, audio, or text. While invisible to the naked eye, these watermarks can be detected using specialized technology. According to Google, the watermark is embedded at the moment of content creation and remains intact even after cropping, filtering, or altering frame rates. To verify whether an image was AI-generated or edited using Google AI, uploading it to Gemini allows SynthID to detect the watermark and confirm its origin.
