Mobile financial service Nagad has introduced a special gift opportunity for expatriate Bangladeshis who play a significant role in the country’s economy. The company has recently launched a new campaign titled “Har Na Mana Har” (The Necklace of Unyielding Spirit), through which expatriates can win a gold necklace weighing one and a half bhori by sending remittances to their loved ones’ Nagad wallets in Bangladesh. The special offer, which began on the 18th of this month, will continue until March 31, 2026.

To participate in the campaign, expatriates must send a minimum of 10,000 taka in remittances through Nagad’s legitimate channels. In addition, they will continue to enjoy the government-declared 2.5 percent instant incentive or cashback, in accordance with prevailing regulations. This initiative by Nagad is primarily aimed at making the process of sending remittances through legal digital channels more popular and enjoyable.

Regarding the campaign, Simon Imran Haider, Chief Marketing Officer of Nagad, said that expatriates traditionally send money to their families during festive seasons. If they can win a gold necklace by sending that money through Nagad, it will become a special memory for the expatriate remittance warrior and his or her family. He added that the campaign was designed to add extra joy to customers’ financial transactions.

Market analysts believe that such innovative offers will encourage expatriates to avoid hundi or illegal channels and instead use digital platforms. This, they say, will help strengthen the country’s foreign exchange reserves while ensuring fast and secure transactions for customers. Nagad authorities hope that the attractive prize of a one-and-a-half bhori gold necklace will further enhance the joy of Eid or other special festivals for expatriate families.
