The Election Commission (EC) has urged Bangladesh-based voters who registered through the ‘Postal Vote BD’ mobile app to cast their votes immediately after receiving their ballots and submit the yellow envelope at the nearest post office by February 10 for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election and Referendum scheduled for February 12.

The request was made in an official message issued by the EC on Sunday, February 8.

According to the EC message, voters residing in Bangladesh who registered via the postal voting mobile application are advised that promptly completing the voting process and submitting the yellow envelope to the nearest post office no later than February 10, 2026, will ensure that the ballot reaches the concerned Returning Officer in time.

In a separate message, the EC stated that postal voters who have not yet scanned the QR code printed on their envelope must do so by 11:59 pm (Bangladesh time) on February 10.

The message further warned that any ballot submitted without scanning the QR code will be considered invalid.
