Leave Halted for Metro Staff
Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has suspended all forms of leave for its officers and employees until further notice.
The decision was announced through an official order signed by AKM Khairul Alam, Director (Administration) of DMTCL, on Sunday, November 9.
According to the office circular, the suspension applies to all officials and staff assigned to the metro rail headquarters, depots, stations, project areas, and other affiliated facilities. The order will remain in effect until a new directive is issued.
However, the office order did not specify the reason behind the suspension of leave.
The notice stated: “All types of leave for officers/employees engaged at the Metro Rail Building, Depot Area, Metro Rail Stations, various projects under DMTCL, and other related establishments are hereby cancelled until further instructions.”
The circular further requested heads of the concerned units under DMTCL to take necessary measures to implement the directive.
