In a condolence statement issued to the media on Friday, June 13, Jamaat’s Secretary General and former MP, Professor Mia Golam Parwar, shared the party’s reaction to the incident.
He stated, “At around 4:00 a.m. on Friday, June 13, Israel launched a horrific airstrike targeting various key installations in the Iranian capital Tehran, including military, nuclear, and missile facilities. Among the deceased is also Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei’s senior advisor, Shamkhani.”
Professor Porwar added, “We are deeply saddened by this brutal massacre. We pray to Almighty Allah for the forgiveness of the departed souls and that they be accepted as martyrs. We also pray that their families, colleagues, and the entire Iranian nation be granted the strength and patience to endure this loss.”
The statement concluded by saying, “We hope that the people and government of Iran will overcome this grief and will be able to deliver an appropriate response to this attack.”
