PM’s Education Aid Trust Resumes Scholarship and Stipend to Be Disbursed Via Nagad

The Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust has resumed the distribution of scholarships and stipends to support underprivileged and meritorious students in continuing their academic journey. As in previous years, the financial assistance will be disbursed via the mobile digital financial service, Nagad, under the postal department.
This year, the government will provide scholarships and stipends to students from Grade 6 up to the bachelor’s (pass course) level and its equivalent. The registration process for interested students is already underway.
Students in Grade 6 and Grade 9 can register until April 30, while undergraduate students have until May 15 to submit their names and necessary information. Undergraduate students must register through the portal https://estipend.pmeat.gov.bd/#/, whereas secondary and higher secondary students must register using the government’s designated software.
After registration, applications will undergo a multi-step verification process by relevant government authorities. Selected students will then receive the stipends through Nagad.
Notably, in 2024, a tripartite agreement was signed among the Bangladesh Postal Department, the Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust, and Nagad, authorizing Nagad to handle the distribution of these scholarships and stipends as a mobile financial service provider.
