Metro Rail to Remain Closed on Eid Day
The Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has announced that metro rail services will remain suspended on Eid day. However, operations will resume the following day under the regular schedule, discontinuing the special Ramadan timetable.
Meanwhile, as Dhaka gradually empties out ahead of the holidays, metro rail passengers experienced a significantly smoother commute on Saturday, March 29. Almost all coaches had available seating, and ticket counters saw minimal crowds. Passengers were able to purchase tickets and board trains quickly, enjoying a comfortable journey.
