bKash Partners with City Bank and Selextra to Offer Smartphones via ‘bKash Pay Later’

bKash, the country’s largest Mobile Financial Services (MFS) provider, has signed a collaboration agreement with City Bank PLC and Selextra Limited to facilitate smartphone purchases using the ‘bKash Pay Later’ service.

Announcing the agreement on Saturday, bKash stated that the signing took place in the presence of Kazi Al Amin, Country Manager of HMD Global. As a result of this partnership, customers can now purchase their preferred Nokia smartphones in easy installments using the bKash Pay Later service. City Bank PLC will provide the financing, while Selextra Limited, the national manufacturer and distributor of Nokia and HMD Mobile in Bangladesh, will ensure the availability of the devices.

Commenting on the agreement, Ali Ahmmed, Chief Commercial Officer of bKash, said,
"bKash is committed to making financial services more accessible and inclusive. Through the bKash Pay Later service, customers can now use high-quality smartphones, strengthening their connection to the digital ecosystem. Our partnership with City Bank PLC and Selextra Limited takes us one step closer to bridging the digital divide and empowering millions of Bangladeshis."

Arup Haider, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Retail Banking at City Bank, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative, stating,

With the advantages of bKash Pay Later and financing from City Bank, customers can now own the necessary devices to stay connected and productive."
