Tech giant Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC won the 'ESG Excellence Awards-2026' in three distinct categories for its contributions to occupational safety, climate change mitigation, and eco-friendly product innovations. Jointly organized by the UN Global Compact Network Bangladesh (GCNB) and ESG Institute Bangladesh, Walton received accolades in 'Excellence in Occupational Health & Safety Improvement', 'Excellence in Championing Climate Action', and 'Excellence in Sustainable Product Innovation'.
At a ceremony held at Lakeshore Hotel on Saturday (September 05, Saturday 2026), Walton Hi-Tech Additional Managing Director (AMD) Md. Yousuf Ali received the award from the Chief Guest, Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Abdul Awal Mintoo. Walton's Chief Marketing Officer Zoheb Ahmed, Senior Additional Executive Directors Robiul Islam Milton and Md. Mostafizur Rahman, and EHS & Sustainability Head Mostafizur Rahman Raju attended the event alongside ambassadors from Denmark and Sweden, and representatives from the European Union and GCNB.
Expressing appreciation, Walton Hi-Tech AMD Md. Yousuf Ali stated that Walton integrates sustainability as an essential core of its business operations. By adopting renewable energy and eco-friendly green technology across factory operations, Walton has significantly reduced its carbon emissions. Coupled with technology-driven safety management, energy-efficient designs, and sustainable materials, Walton continues to reinforce its green footprint.
