Ending a long wait for video game enthusiasts, a new installment in the popular video game franchise is finally set to be unveiled.

At Sony’s State of Play livestream event, it was announced that ‘Final Fantasy VII Revelation’ will be released on April 8, 2027, for PlayStation, PC, and other consoles.

The game is the final installment in the three-part remake trilogy of the popular video game ‘Final Fantasy VII’.

The first installment was released in 2020, while the second arrived in 2024. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the remake of this nostalgic game for years. To bring the original pixel-based game in line with modern standards, major changes have been made not only to the graphics but also to the gameplay.

Instead of the old turn-based system, the game features a modern real-time action system, offering gamers a more immersive and thrilling experience.

Final Chapter and New Additions

The first installment of the trilogy, ‘Final Fantasy VII Remake’, focused only on the early Midgar portion of the story, providing an approximately 50-hour gaming experience.

The new final installment, ‘Revelation’, will depict the main characters’ ultimate battle with the villain Sephiroth and its aftermath. Featuring stunning visuals and advanced technology, the game will be playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

Pre-Orders and Additional Benefits

Pre-orders for the game have already begun for PlayStation 5 users. Those who order the game before its release will receive two special magical abilities, or spells, in the game.

A premium edition of the game is also being introduced, allowing players to access the game one day before its official release. This edition will include special in-game items as well as access to additional story content or downloadable content to be released in the future.

It is worth noting that another game in the franchise, ‘Final Fantasy Resonance’, is scheduled to be released on October 22. It has been developed primarily in the style of classic role-playing games.
