Trump Telecom Takes Off: ‘Trump Mobile’ and $499 Smartphone Announced

The Trump Organization on Monday officially unveiled its new mobile service and smartphone under the brand name Trump Mobile, with a device priced at $499. According to the company, the phone will be manufactured in the United States, and all customer support will also be domestically operated, reports Reuters.

In a recent announcement at Trump Tower in New York, Donald Trump Jr. stated, “Under one package, users will receive telemedicine, roadside assistance, and unlimited texting in 100 countries.”

The new smartphone is expected to hit the market in September, with service available at a monthly rate of $47.45. The company also confirmed that it has applied for a trademark under the name T1.

While the U.S. mobile and smartphone market remains dominated by industry giants such as Apple and Samsung, the Trump family’s latest venture introduces a domestic brand with potential to add a new dynamic to the American telecommunications landscape.
