Islami Bank Bags Award for Barrier-Free Banking via 'CellFin' App
Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC has received the Accessible Digital Banking Service award for its significant contribution to providing disability-inclusive banking services through its mobile application, ‘CellFin’.
The award was presented on Thursday, May 15, during the Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) 2025 celebration at the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) auditorium. The event was organized by Aspire to Innovate (a2i).
Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, Special Assistant on Posts, Telecommunications and ICT to the Principal Advisor, handed over the award crest to Professor Dr. M. Masud Rahman, Director of Islami Bank, as the chief guest of the ceremony.
Also present at the event were ICT Division Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury, Islami Bank’s Deputy Managing Director Md. Maksudur Rahman, Executive Vice Presidents Mohammad Rezaul Karim and Md. Mosharraf Hossain, along with other officials.
