The railway authority has announced the operation of the following Eid Special Trains:

Additional Coaches and Locomotives for Eid Rush

To accommodate the increased demand, Bangladesh Railway plans to introduce 64 additional passenger coaches, including 28 meter-gauge coaches from Pahartali Workshop and 36 broad-gauge coaches from Syedpur Workshop.

Additionally, 19 locomotives—14 meter-gauge and 5 broad-gauge—will be deployed for passenger trains during Eid.

Suspension of Weekly Train Off-Days and Service Adjustments

To ensure uninterrupted service during the Eid rush, all intercity trains will suspend their weekly off-days from March 27 until the day before Eid. The regular weekly off-days will resume after Eid.

Moreover, no intercity trains will operate on the day of Eid.
