Bangabandhu Satellite-2 to Launch within stipulated time: Minister
Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar has informed that the launch of Bangabandhu Satellite-2 into space, launch of 5G network and installation of 3rd submarine cable connection will be completed within the stipulated time.
The Minister said that the Department of Posts and Telecommunications has started implementing these three promises as per the election manifesto given to the nation. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, all preparations have been completed to complete the launch of the country's second satellite within the stipulated time.
He further said that with the launch of Bangabandhu Satellite-1 in space, we have not only achieved the glory of being the 57th satellite launcher in the world but have also provided uninterrupted satellite service to our own boys in the last two years.
The minister was addressing a discussion meeting on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of the launch of private satellite TV channels through Bangabandhu Satellite-1 organized by Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited-BSCL at Hotel Intercontinental in the capital on Thursday night.
Thanking the TV channel owners for conducting broadcasting activities through this satellite, the chief guest of the program was the Minister of Information and Broadcasting Dr. Hasan Mahmud said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman laid the foundation of the country's Bijoy-Keton (triumph of success) in space on water. Today we are all proud to be able to use our country's satellite (Bangabandhu Satellite-1). Under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the launch of the country's second satellite and the preparation of the third satellite will soon take the country much further.

In his welcome address, President of Association of Television Channel Owners-ATCO emphasized on the friendly relations of the television channels with BSCL.
BSCL chairman and chief executive Shahjahan Mahmud presided over the ceremony and highlighted the current activities and future roadmap, especially the broadcasting of the country's satellite TV channels in the Middle East.
At the end of the discussion, a short cultural program was presented for the guest.
