US-Bangla offers opportunities to become pilots and aircraft maintenance engineers
US-Bangla Airlines, the only Bangladeshi private airline with IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) certification, offers self-funded advanced pilot and aircraft maintenance engineer opportunities in the US and India respectively. Any form of lobbying will be considered as disqualification of the candidate.
With the addition of aircraft to the airline's fleet, the need for additional pilots and engineers arises but cannot be easily filled in the shortest possible time. Finalizing the recruitment of pilots and engineers before adding new aircraft to the fleet and expanding new routes is part of the airlines' sound and proper planning.
Moving forward with planning and implementation, US-Bangla launched two Dash8-Q400s on 17 July 2014. Currently there are 20 aircraft in the fleet including 8 Boeing 737-800 and 9 ATR 72-600. According to the plan, US-Bangla Airlines is going to add two 436-seat Airbus-330s by September this year.
To meet the increasing demand, US-Bangla Airlines is offering fully self-funded pilot opportunities in the US. Those meritorious Bangladeshi students from science department with GPA 5 with Grade-A+ in English, Physics, General and Higher Mathematics or 'O' Level with minimum 5 subjects including Mathematics and Physics in SSC and HSC and 'A' Level in Mathematics and Physics. Those who have obtained Grade-B will be eligible to apply. Graduation pass will be considered as additional qualification. Candidate must be proficient in English.
Applicant must be a Bangladeshi and cannot be a citizen of any other country. Age should be 17-25 years at the time of application. Height – 5 feet 4 inches for girls and 5 feet 6 inches for boys. Applicants should be physically fit. Vision should be 6/6. Must be non-smoker and non-alcoholic. Involvement in any type of criminal activities will be considered disqualification.
The selection process for pilots includes IQ test, written test (English, Mathematics and Physics), psychometric, medical and oral test. Those selected from all the tests will be sent for flight training at designated flying schools in the US under the management of US-Bangla Airlines.
An aircraft maintenance engineer has the same requirements as an airline pilot. To meet the growing demand, US-Bangla Airlines is offering fully self-funded Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in India. All meritorious Bangladeshi students from Science department with GPA 4.5 in English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in SSC and HSC or minimum 5 subjects in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English at 'O' Level with Grade A and 'A' Level Maths , having secured Grade-B in minimum 2 subjects including Chemistry, English and Physics will be eligible to apply. Candidate must be proficient in English.
Applicant must be a Bangladeshi and cannot be a citizen of any other country. Age should be maximum 24 years at the time of application. Height – should be 162 cm. Candidate's weight to BMI is proportional to height. Candidate must be single. Vision should be 6/6. Must be non-smoker and non-alcoholic. Involvement in any type of crime will be considered disqualification.
Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Selection Process includes IQ Test, Written Test, Aptitude, Psychometric, Medical and Oral Test. Those selected from all the tests will be sent to designated flying training schools in India under the management of US-Bangla Airlines.
After successful completion of training will be appointed as Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in US-Bangla Airlines. Salary will be Tk.2 lakh per month along with other benefits.
