6G test bed launched in India

The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the International Telecommunication Union's (ITU) new field office and innovation center at the country's Vigyan Bhawan on Wednesday. It is ITU's first regional office and innovation center in India. During the event, he launched India's 6G Vision Document 6G R&D Test Bed.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his speech talked about India's 6G Vision Document. He said, “I am happy that on the first day of the New Year (Hindu calendar), India is getting off to a great start in terms of telecommunication, ICT and related innovations. A 6G test bed has also been launched.”

Modi added, “The launch of the 6G test bed will bring new energy to Digital India, as well as 'innovation and new solutions for the Global South. It will create new opportunities in the education, startup, innovation and industrial sectors.”
