Hubei–Bangladesh Collaboration: Science and Innovation Synergy Spotlighted
The Hubei–Bangladesh Science and Technology Innovation Exchange Conference 2025 was held at the International Conference Hall of Daffodil International University, located in Daffodil Smart City, Savar, Dhaka. The event took place on Sunday, June 15, with the goal of strengthening bilateral cooperation in research, science, and technology.
Led by Mr. He Kuiwen, Director of Hai Chuang Yun International Enterprise Center in Wuhan, a delegation from Hubei Province, China, participated in the conference alongside prominent figures from Bangladesh’s science, education, and innovation sectors.
Mr. Li Shaopeng, Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, attended the event as the chief guest.
Presided over by Professor Dr. Mohammad Masum Iqbal, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship at Daffodil International University (DIU), the event featured remarks from Syed Raihan-ul-Islam, Deputy Director of International Affairs at DIU, and Dr. Maruf Mollah, Managing Director of MalishaEdu.
The conference brought together 14 representatives from 10 leading institutions in Hubei Province and several distinguished faculty members of DIU.
Experts from Hubei’s top institutions presented four significant scientific and medical advancements. The presenters included Professor Zhao Lei from Union Hospital; Professor Guan Nianqiao from Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology; Professor Dong Zhiqiang from the College of Biomedical and Health Sciences, Huazhong Agricultural University; and Professor Zhu Hai from Hubei University of Chinese Medicine.
The conference concluded with a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing ceremony, marking a formal step toward long-term educational and research collaboration between the two nations. A total of three MoUs were signed to facilitate cooperative projects.
The conference was jointly organized by Daffodil International University and the Hubei International Science and Technology Exchange Center, in partnership with MalishaEdu.
